The new facility is part of the "Truck Village”, which also houses VTNZ and Firestone Tyres amongst others. The Village has been the talk of the town for some time now and is attracting a lot of interest from the transport operators.
The branch was officially opened on the 15th February 2013 by Pat McKenna, the Managing Director of Sime Darby Motor Group (NZ) Ltd. The evening was well attended by customers, suppliers and group company staff. The other speakers were Scott O’Donnell, CEO of HWR Group, and John Keenan, General Manager of Sime Darby Commercial Group of companies.
The site is the ninth Volvo approved after sale facility operated by Truck Stops. It is also a part of the Volvo Action Network, comprising of 18 service centres nationwide, offering 24-7 callout support to Volvo truck and bus operators. The Truck Stops Invercargill team is very excited to be in the new facility and can’t stop playing with all the new toys!
